Abstract

In the era of advancing technology, people are required to work and study effectively. In 2019, Covid-19 became a world threat, including Indonesia, causing disruptions in various activities, particularly in the field of education. Consequently, meetings and activities began to transition to online platforms. Since then, online learning has been implemented globally. Recognizing the need to research the effectiveness of online learning due to the existence of pros and cons surrounding it, the researchers embarked on this study. The goal of this research is to identify the factors contributing to the effectiveness of online learning, specifically in Mandarin language education, and assess its extent. The researchers use observation, interviews, and documentation as methods to collect data. Based on the data collected, the researchers concluded that there are 10 factors affecting the effectiveness of online Mandarin language learning.
